About JR's

I am Eric Smethurst, owner and operator of JR’s Waterproofing and Structural Repairs. I have been working in the concrete, foundation, and structural repair business since I was 20 years old (I am much old now, thank you very much!). 

I started working with a large foundation engineering firm at this time and learned the ins and outs of the business. Through my early trials in foundation repairs, excavating, and structural engineering, I honed my skills that would eventually allow me to start my own company.

I take pride in the work I do and enjoy working with homeowners to solve their problems of wet basements and cracked foundations. My experience is put to the test on each and every job, and my clients are always pleased with the results, I take pride in my work and truly love what I do. 

Homeowners and contractors alike continue to praise my work and knowledge. It feels good to maintain a high standard for myself and the work I produce.

I am also proud to provide work for my growing team, and I love to treat them right. Working in the dirt with the boys will always rank among the top memories in my life.
